“On April 5, 1976, a photo of Premier Zhou Enlai’s corpse appeared on TV. He had the most painful and tortured expression on his face. That made me think a little deeper. He was the second most powerful person in China. But he was also the most miserable victim in China. What kind of society was this? Watching that tormented face of Zhou, I suddenly wept uncontrollably. I finally understand that all the conclusions I had made were all correct. I was virtuous, they were malevolent. It didn’t matter how many people they had, or how many weapons they had, or how powerful their propaganda machine was. I finally realized. I was immensely powerful. I was the one who was right. All of my conclusions were correct. I was indeed a very good person. When you entered the realm of true spirituality and morality and understood yourself as a moral being with power from above, you were finally free.”

Last Television Interview before imprisonment in China.

    Published on May 23, 2012
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo remains in prison on an 11-year charge for subversion. In his most recent, and previously unseen interview, he discusses life under China’s authoritarian regime.
“The driving force for positive change within the Chinese political system does not come from the top. It comes from the ordinary people and it’s unstoppable”. Xiaobo discusses humanitarian issues in Tibet and China, the Chinese governments harassment of his family, and the possibilities for democracy in China. “I’m the one who has brought fear into their hearts. So deep down I feel guilt but sometimes that can turn into fear”. He also speaks about what he sees as the growing number of dissidents, like himself, willing to speak out against the Chinese government. “I think the government is under increasing pressure. Today if they arrest and detain someone they now have to take account of the political cost”.

World War Z, Hollywood Latest Sell Out to China.

    Published on Jun 24, 2013
Brad Pitt’s World War Z, the movie about yet another zombie apocalypse has proved that once again, Hollywood likes to sell out to China. Recently, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas offered up a grim prediction of the future of the movie industry where blockbusters rule the day, and studio’s can’t afford any busts. That means they’ll need to succeed in the world’s fastest growing movie market-China. And since China only allows 34 foreign films a year, Hollywood won’t want to make any movies that are critical of China or they’ll never get past Chinese censors. Kind of like what happened to World War Z. ~ China Uncensored

Pattern of Deception by Dan Rather

PATTERN OF DECEPTION BY DAN RATHER

A retired Architect of the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, DC., Pedro Porro, A.I.A., reveals what he found to be a serious manipulation of a segment of “60 Minutes” he participated in order to influence the conclusions of the audience.

Mr. Porro was hired in April 2000 as a translator (English to Spanish) for an interview by Dan Rather of Juan Miguel Gonzalez, the father of Elian Gonzalez, the 6-year old boy involved in an international custody dispute between Fidel Castro’s regime and a humble Cuban American family in Miami during the Clinton administration.

Mr. Porro participated in the 10-hour taping session for “60 Minutes.” Greg Craig — Clinton’s lawyer during his impeachment process, who also acted as lawyer for Juan Miguel Gonzalez and as advisor to John Kerry during his presidential campaign – was present and involved.

While taping the Dan Rather interview Mr. Porro observed what appears to be one more pattern of deception by Dan Rather, “60 Minutes” and CBS.

In another interview for AB INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION’s upcoming documentary COVERING CUBA 4: The Rats Below, taped on May 18, 2003 – before the recent scandal on CBS about the “60 Minutes” Dan Rather segment criticizing president Bush in relation to his military service based on fake documents — Mr. Porro came forward and revealed this inside view. © 2004 ABIP All Rights Reserved
